Disney Cruise Line Fall 2027 & Spring 2028: Three Canadian Ports, and a Ship Sailing From New York
Disney Cruise Line has released its Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries, and for once there is a genuinely Canadian story in them.
Three Atlantic Canadian ports. A homeport in Vancouver. And a season of sailings close enough to home that you can drive to the ship.

Booking opens in phases starting Monday, August 31, 2026, with general booking on Tuesday, September 8. If you have sailed with Disney before, your Castaway Club level decides which day you can book, and the best staterooms on the best dates go early.
Here is what is new, and what I would look at first.
Sailing From New York on the Disney Wish
This is the headline for anyone in Ontario or Quebec.
The Disney Wish sails from New York, which is about a nine-hour drive from Ottawa or an easy short flight. No connecting through Orlando. No four-hour layover in Toronto with two tired kids.
From New York you can sail to:
Atlantic Canada
This is the part I did not expect. Sailings of 5, 6 and 7 nights from New York calling at:
Halifax, Nova Scotia, for maritime history, world-class museums, and the star-shaped Halifax Citadel above the harbour.
Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, for Victorian streets, red-sand shores, and the landscape behind Anne of Green Gables.
Saint John, New Brunswick.
A Disney ship calling at Charlottetown is not something I ever expected to type. If you have family out east, or you have always meant to do the Maritimes properly, this is an unusual way to do it.

Bermuda
Pink-sand beaches, coral reefs, world-class golf and a genuinely odd, lovely blend of British and island culture. Cruises run 4, 5, 6 or 8 nights, and select sailings give you two full days on the island rather than the usual one. If Bermuda is on your list, that two-day version is the one to ask about.
One select sailing also stops in Boston, where you can walk the Freedom Trail and eat your way through Faneuil Hall.
The Caribbean: More Ports, More Lengths, Two Disney Islands
The Caribbean season is the biggest part of this release, and the flexibility is the story.
You can sail 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 nights from Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, Galveston or San Juan, and most voyages stop at one or both of Disney's private islands: Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Eastern Caribbean
Ports may include St. Thomas, with its scenic bays and shopping, and Tortola, all sheltered coves and green hills.
Western Caribbean
Falmouth, Jamaica, for historic manors, bamboo raft rides and the climb at Dunn's River Falls, and Cozumel, Mexico, for beaches, coral reefs and Mayan ruins.
Southern Caribbean
This is the interesting one, and it is where the 7 and 8-night sailings earn their length. Ports may include Aruba's white-sand beaches, Bonaire's reefs, Curacao's painted waterfront, Dominica's rainforest trails and Saint Lucia's Pitons rising straight out of the sea.
If you have already done the Bahamas and the Eastern Caribbean, the Southern itineraries are where a Disney cruise stops feeling familiar.
And the Bahamas, if you want it shorter
Sailings of 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 nights from Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale or Galveston, calling at Nassau, Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay. Still the easiest first Disney cruise there is.

Also Worth Knowing
Baja California and the Mexican Riviera. From San Diego aboard the Disney Magic or Disney Wonder. Shorter 3, 4 and 5-night runs to Catalina Island and Ensenada, or 5, 6 and 7-night sailings to Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan.
The Pacific Coast. A 4-night repositioning between Vancouver and San Diego, a second Canadian homeport and a short, unusual sailing.
The Panama Canal. A 14-night crossing from San Diego or Galveston, with ports in Mexico, Colombia and Panama, including first-ever calls at Fuerte Amador and Colon on select dates.
Singapore. Disney's newest homeport. Sailings of 3 and 4 nights on the Disney Adventure, which has the longest roller coaster at sea, with Langkawi, Malaysia on select 4-night departures.
Halloween on the High Seas and Very Merrytime sailings both return, on select fall and winter dates.
When You Can Actually Book
Pearl Castaway Club: Monday, August 31
Platinum Castaway Club: Tuesday, September 1
Gold Castaway Club: Wednesday, September 2
Silver Castaway Club: Thursday, September 3
Everyone: Tuesday, September 8
All phases open at 8:00 AM Eastern.
If you have cruised with Disney before, check your Castaway Club level now, not on the morning. Your level decides your day, and on a release this size the popular dates and the family staterooms move quickly.
What I Would Do This Week
Two things, and neither takes long.
One: decide roughly when and roughly how much. Not the ship, not the stateroom, not the ports. Just the month and a number. Everything after that is my job.
Two: tell me your Castaway Club level. If you are Pearl or Platinum, you have a real head start and I need to be ready to book on your day, not after it.
I am a Canadian travel agent based in Ottawa, I plan Disney Cruise Line for families right across the country, in English or in French, and I will be watching for Canadian Resident offers on these sailings as they appear.

Tell me a month and a number, and I will take it from there.
